Primal Joy Foods – Bringing Paleo to Life

The lovely Sarah from Primal Joy sent me some dinky little samples of their paleo products.

I have heard a lot about paleo food and the paleo diet recently and have been very intrigued reading about it and the natural diet. The good thing is most of the products are Gluten, Grain and Dairy Free. I can’t imagine a world without fast or processed foods because that is all we are bombarded with these days. Having a look at the website really does open your eyes to the generation we live in and the diet that some people follow. We actually should take it back to how our ancestors ate, we would be far healthier!

As with all things lacking Gluten or Dairy you may think….’yuk…that’s going to be awful’ but actually, Primal’s products are far from ‘awful’. I loved their nut crunch, it really was nice, and I could happily see myself snacking on this at work or before a gym session. Speaking of the gym, I would also snack on the Paleo bar before heading to the gym for a session or class. Although small (due to the sample size), it was quite filling and really tasty.

The best thing about the chocolate brownie, was that actually, you didn’t get that sicky feeling you get sometimes after eating brownies. I didn’t get that film of chocolate stuck to the roof of my mouth and best of all I didn’t feel guilty about eating it. It is sweetened without refined sugar, which is always a bonus, as I have noticed recently too much ‘bad sugar’ means my skin breaks out in all kinds of blemishes. You can definitely taste the almond and coconut flour, and it wasn’t dry, at all!
