Costa Coffee...All Wrapped Up NEW Chicken Wrap

I can't even recall the amount of times I have waited for Gluten Free wraps to be available...and now Costa Coffee are one of the first Coffee chains in the UK to introduce them to their fridges. 
They are only available in select stores, and not the express stops, but you can check online to see which is the nearest Costa to you that sells them.

At £3.75 they aren't badly priced. Most wraps in Costa cost between £3-£3.50 so 25p more for something I can eat....I don't mind paying that! 

I have to say, Chicken and pesto is my favourite filling for a lunchtime snack. This isn't exactly pesto, but chicken and basil is just as nice. 


I can't begin to explain my anticipation. I had heard mixed reviews...but wanted to make my own mind up.  


I was so excited to taste it I barely got back to the office before ripping open the box. When I did I was rather disappointed, actually not disappointed...angry!  I am not usually one to complain, and am very grateful for any GF products on the market, but I was shocked to find that only half of my wrap had filling. The other half was completely hollow!  





I was so upset I had to go back to my desk on an empty stomach, which for me is never good. I don't know if this was a one off (I really hope it was!!) but I am one very unhappy customer. 

I am not a greedy person, but being cheated out of half the filling in the wrap just doesn't seem fair. My Colleague who bought a panini was not cheated out of filling, so why should the Gluten Free Wrap? 


I feel I have paid £3.75 for a few pieces of chicken and one Gluten Free wrap. I could buy a whole pack of 4 wraps from Sainsburys / Tesco, chicken and a few basil leaves for the same price. I think this is what I will be doing next time. 


The filling was not the taste explosion I imagined, and was actually rather bland. 

There is no point in even trying to frill up my experience, or hide my disappointment with words that are really not deserved on this product. 

I am left a very, very annoyed customer. 


Let's just hope that Costa take note of my complaint email! 


I would say try it yourselves, but on second thoughts, maybe don't!
