I love sweet treats (as you have probably guessed from my other posts!) but I try to not eat them every day.
When Udi's sent me a pack of two muffins in my hamper I was very excited to try them.
Looking at the muffins in the packet, they looked like any normal muffin would.
But then I tasted them. :)
My favourite flavour of most sweet things is toffee, whether that is Toffee ice cream or Toffee itself.
Obviously...I had to try the toffee one first.
Some gluten free cakes can be very dry, very dense and are usually around 500 Kcal.
This muffin however is very light, fluffy and half the amount of calories.
If I were to compare it to the Marks & Spencer Tripple Chocolate muffin, I would say I much prefer Udi's. Udi's are also a very similar price for two rather than one in M&S.
As soon as I cut the muffin in half I could tell how light and moist the cake was. It didn't fall apart. I heard a squish noise (believe me I haven't every tried a cake as relative to 'normal' as this one!).
Heaven.
Then I tasted it.
All I can say is YUMM. It was delicious and I couldn't help eating it all at once.
I applaud Udi's on getting it right!!
Great flavour, great texture and a great tea time snack.
I couldn't just stop there though. I had the Chocolate Chip muffin left in the packet.
I couldn't just leave it could I!?
Very naughtily I cut it in half and had it as my pre run snack. I don't usually like to eat too many fatty, sweet things in the day, but I just couldn't help myself.
Don't just take my word for it...try it!
Rating:
9/10 one word, DELICIOUS
