Baking is what Sunday's are made for.
This Sunday I decided to make healthy flapjacks, as I am on a healthy eating regime in line with training at the gym.
These Flapjacks are so quick and easy to make - and are only 150kcals per square, using Provena Gluten Free Oats. Guilt free moments you won't have to worry about.
Ingredients:
50g Dairy Free butter, plus a little extra for greasing
3 tbsp honey
1 tbsp maple syrup
2 ripe bananas, mashed
8 Sweet Strawberries, sliced
250g Provena Gluten Free Oats
50g sliced almonds
100g raisins
How to make them:
Step 1: Heat the oven to 160C/140C fan/gas 3. Grease and line a 20cm square tin with baking parchment. If you don't have a square tin, an oval tin will also work. Heat the butter, and honey or maple syrup in a small pan until melted. Add the mashed banana, half the sliced strawberries and 100ml hot water, and mix to combine over the heat.
Step 2: Tip the Provena oats, the raisins and almonds into a large bowl. Pour in the combined banana and strawberry mixture and stir until everything is coated by the wet mixture.
Step 3: Tip into the cake tin and level the surface. Bake for 55 mins until golden. Leave to cool in the tin. Cut into 12 pieces to serve or store in an airtight container in the fridge.
These are really tasty, and a healthy alternative to all butter flapjacks - and of course they are 100% Gluten Free!
Enjoy :) Tx
