Niven's - Kings Cross' Best Kept Secret

For a few weeks now my work colleagues have been raving about a little Deli on Kings Cross Road which is literally around the corner from our office. My manager had the largest meal I have ever seen at lunch time today which smelled amazing, and I thought I have to try it.

The small but cosey deli was crowded with people, and now I understand why. The food is delicious.

I asked the nice owner behind the counter what I could have, being gluten free, and he showed me all the things I could have, which was basically all but the bread crumbed escalope.

We had a great chat about gluten free food, and it was lovely that someone who owned a food establishment understood about Coeliac Disease and the Gluten Free diet. I came away with a smile.

I decided to go for the medium sized box (which I now know I need the small one because I couldn't eat it all!). I chose the Chicken Koftas with Pistachios and Cashews, Beetroot and Gorgonzola, Broccoli with a hint of chili, Courgettes with a hint of chili and Tomato and Mozzarella.

What can I say the food was outstanding, delicious and well worth the money.

You can eat in or take away, and it is in a perfect location for me, just a 5 minute walk.

I would recommend it to anyone following the Gluten Free Diet and in the Kings Cross area.

Healthy, Hearty and Gluten Free.
